Who we are

Standing with people in need, from day one

Arriving in a new country, or facing hardship in an unfamiliar system, is hard to do alone. We were established in 2026 to offer hands-on, culturally appropriate help to disadvantaged members of the global communities settled in Australia.

Support is offered freely, on the basis of assessed need — to people who cannot adequately support themselves without it, and whose needs arouse compassion in the community.

More about us

Our purpose

To relieve hardship, distress and suffering through practical, compassionate and culturally appropriate support to people in need — with a particular focus on disadvantaged migrants in Sydney.

What we do

We connect people from diverse backgrounds with real opportunities.

From settlement support and employment in your field, to digital skills for seniors, family and crisis support, and guidance through health, disability and aged-care systems — we help individuals, families and communities settle, connect and build a future in Australia.

What we do

Our divisions

We support our communities across three connected areas — delivered with respect, inclusion and cultural understanding.

Our flagship focus

Skilled migrants, working in their area of expertise again

Too many people arrive with real qualifications — nurses, engineers, accountants, teachers, trades — and get stuck in survival jobs far below their training. We exist to change that.

We walk alongside each person from first résumé to first day at work, and help international students build a career foundation while they study.

The barriers we break

  • Overseas qualifications not recognised by local employers
  • No local work history or professional references
  • Résumés & interview styles that don't match Australian norms
  • No professional network to hear about roles
  • Licensing, registration & bridging steps that feel impossible
  • Language & cultural confidence at interview

Honouring First Nations art & culture

We are commissioning artwork from a local First Nations artist to celebrate this Country and the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work. This space is reserved for their work.

Acknowledgement of Country

Multicultural Communities Support Center Inc acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise their enduring connection to Country, and we are committed to walking alongside all communities — First Nations and newly arrived alike — with respect and dignity.
